How does Frank's situation reflect his character and his ability to take control of his family?
Frank is the realist of the family. He is the one to speak the most truth of them all. Frank has a sarcastic and dark sense of humor always poking fun at the families position in life. He is the eldest of the children and has been forced to grow up fast because his parents are useless and selfish people.it seems to me that he is the way he is because of his family and the things he has been through. As I have read the book it makes me appreciate the things I have a caring family, a nice house, and food it seems so insignificant to me but i can not imagine living with out those things, and Frank McCourt had to.
